How to use Base64 → PDF

Paste raw Base64 or a PDF data URI, then select Convert. Use Previous and Next to move through pages and the zoom controls to inspect them. Download saves the decoded PDF bytes.

Reproducible example

Load example then Convert. The viewer displays a one-page public PDF reading Hello from HashyTools. Download the PDF to open it in your usual reader. No document is loaded or decoded automatically on arrival.

Limits and file handling

This viewer renders pages only: it does not execute PDF JavaScript or provide editing, form submission, embedded attachments, clickable links or digital signature validation. Encrypted PDFs that require a password are not supported. A successful preview does not establish that a PDF is trustworthy. Input is held in this page only and is not saved in browser storage. Clear removes inputs and outputs; navigating away does not transfer them to another tool.

Decoding PDF payloads from APIs

Some APIs return PDF bytes as a Base64 string, sometimes inside a JSON field. Copy the field value without surrounding quotes or JSON syntax. The decoder accepts whitespace and URL-safe Base64 and checks the PDF signature before parsing the document. A PDF-looking header alone is not sufficient: invalid documents are rejected by the viewer. Download becomes available after the initial page renders successfully. Rendering uses a locally hosted PDF engine and worker; the document bytes are not sent to a remote viewer. The canvas preview has page labels but does not expose a selectable text layer; use an accessible PDF reader for reading order and assistive document navigation.
